I had actually been waiting to wear this saree for about a
year now! I found it last year when I was in Green St doing what was supposed
to be “window shopping” but I somehow managed to go home with what is now one
of the most beautiful sarees I own at the time I felt like matching jewellery to the embroidery would be
incredibly difficult as it was embellished in Rainbow Diamantes (ab stones) and
an emerald green border/piping. Finding jewellery in emerald green or with ab
stones alone was hard but ended up with a saree with a combination of both! I
was originally thinking to go for a full on emerald green piece of jewellery
but then when I walked into lotus I found something way beyond my expectations.
It was a handmade necklace with AB stones just like my saree border. The only
problem was that it was silver plating and I needed it in gold. Unfortunately
at that time I couldn’t leave a deposit to have it ordered for me in the right
plating which then actually turned out to work out in my favour. When Bhavisha
showed me this set I loved it was perfect or it was going to be... she told me
she could order it with AB stones AND incorporate the emerald green into it!

And as promised, she delivered. Pictures does no justice to it AT ALL! The shining of the stones makes this piece incredibly eye-catching and glamorous. I just loved it. There was however one change I needed to make to it. Below are the images of before and after of the change. Lucky for me I have a set of jewellery pliers :D
I was actually expecting to be also spending on bangles but luckily my large collections of bangles finally paid off. YAY! I tried all sorts of combinations until I found the one. The only thing I had missing was the correct shade of blue, which most likely isn’t apparent on pictures, but it is a pale shade of blue slightly on the grey side. Anyways...I decided to use a substitute till I could fill in the real shade to give me a better idea of what it would look like.
Once I found a combinationation Iwas happy with I was able to figure exactly how many singles I would need, I ended up spending only £3 on 12 singles...and heres the end result:

After going through all that effort just for my jewellery and bangles I opted for the easier option on the clutch bag and pulled out what was already in my drawer. I thought I could get away with the teal one on the right, but unfortunately it stood out too much next to all that emerald so I settled for the other one which I think was still a good enough match. Both of which by the way I bought a few years back from Dune. I couldn't decide which I liked more so I bought both :)
The only change I made too it was I opted for matte lips rather than glossy. I'm not a huge fan of lip glosses to be honest.
